The Fitzgerald National Park 20km to the south west of Tectonic's Phillips River tenements is one of the richest flora conservation areas in Western Australia. It contains a high proportion of geographically restricted and rare plants with around 250 species considered to be of high conservation value. Some of these plants are also found outside the National Park in the Ravensthorpe Range.
Western Shield: Tectonic is helping safeguard native Western Australian animals through its five year contribution to the Department of Environment and Conservation's Western Shield program. Western Shield is bringing animals, such as the numbat, back from the brink of extinction through fox baiting and fauna reintroduction activities.
