As Phillips River is situated less than 30 kilometres from the pristine southern coastline and close to the natural wonders of the Fitzgerald River National Park, a diverse range of activities are available including fishing, diving, surfing and canoeing.
All interests are catered for with many sporting clubs established in the region - from football, cricket, basketball and bowls to motorbike riding and the volunteer bush fire brigade.
The local towns of Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe have extensive modern facilities catering for the 2,500 people currently residing there. The community is progressive with both rural and mining pursuits figuring prominently.
