Phillips River Factsheet

• Development of the mineral rich flagship Phillips River project is the primary goal for Phillips River Mining (PRM)
• Phillips River Mining holds a highly prospective tenement portfolio of around 2500m² in the Southern WA region containing numerous targets of polymetallic mineralisation that consist of copper, gold, silver, lead and zinc metals
• The Phillips River Project Definitive Feasibility Study has indicated $1billion of revenue over the ten year operating life
• Copper and gold production account for approximatley $800 million in revenue with silver, lead and zinc anticipated to generate approximatley $200 million.
• The Phillips River project will help  realise the company’s ambition to become a junior producer within the Australian market  and a long term contributor to the local economy.

Mine Location

• Phillips River is located midway between Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun in Southern Western Australia.
• Mining commences  at the Trilogy site and then progresses to Kundip in year 6 which is located 10 kilometers to the North
• A processing plant with a capacity of 1Mtpa will be built at the Trilogy site and process both Trilogy and Kundip ores
• Existing infrastructure consists of an exploration office, an 88 room accommodation facility located in Ravensthorpe as well as further infrastructure located at the Company’s decommissioned RAV 8 mine  

Production

• The processing plant will be developed in 2012
• Production is targeted to commence in 2013
• The plant will produce gold/silver dore  for the domestic market and copper concentrates and a base metal concentrate containing zinc and lead sulphides for Asian markets.
• The project will generate approximately 300kt of concentrates over the life of the project

Transport

• Both concentrates will be containerized and shipped from Esperance Port.
• Twice daily road trains will travel the South Coast Highway to Esperence Port
• From Esperence the concentrate will be shipped to Asian smelters
• All concentrates will be double bagged and containerized prior to transport which is world’s best practice  

Manpower

• Construction of the Phillips River project will require a workforce of 80 people
• Mining operations will require a similar headcount of direct employees and outsourced contractors
• Anticipated 2018 mining operations at the Kundip site will  require a workforce of 170 people

Social & Economic Benefits

• Phillips River Mining  has been an integral part of the Hopetoun/Ravensthorpe region since 1997
• PRM is currently a principal employer and contributor to the region and maintains a strong and active role in supporting the community through various initiatives including:
  • Ravensthorpe Volunteer Fire Brigade
  • Ravensthorpe District High School
  • Hopetoun Junior Football Club
  • St John’s Ambulance

Environmentally Responsible Development

• Development of the Project will be balanced with responsible management of the environment and also providing real economic benefits to the community
• The Trilogy mine site is on cleared pastoral land and the Kundip site has been mined since the early 1900’s
• Rehabilitation post mining will return both sites to native bush
• It is possible that the Phillips River Project may be the first wind powered mine in the world and thus will avoid burning 3 million litres of diesel each year – this will set new standards as carbon reduction reforms take place
